Held on Friday, January 31, 2025, at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver, Oakwyn's Sales Kick Off was filled with energy, inspiration, and recognition for the incredible work our partners and Oakwynites have contributed.

This event was more than just a celebration; it was a moment for Oakwyn’s community to come together, reflect on our successes, and gear up for what’s to come. The day was packed with inspiring speeches, surprise performances, and the recognition of the outstanding individuals and teams that helped make 2024 a year to remember. Celebrating 2024’s Successes

The event started with a warm welcome as Managing Brokers and partners greeted attendees and set the tone for the day, and a breakfast spread was provided by JW Marriott. With the excitement building, a surprise performance by a local breakdancing group, set the stage for the celebrations to come (and what a hint to the reveal of Oakwyn's Theme of the year for 2025). As the crowd cheered, and the energy levels continued to rise, we were reminded of the incredible drive that fuels the Oakwyn family.

Recognizing Outstanding Achievements

The heart of the event was the recognition of those who went above and beyond. We celebrated Oakwynites who provided outstanding service in 2024. This included the: Sales Achievement Awards, Sales Excellence Awards, Top Producer AwardsMasters Award and the highly anticipated O Award.

Beyond the individual accolades, we recognized entire teams and special contributors.

Rookie of the Year: This award is given to a standout agent, one who is new to the industry and has proven their dedication to their craft. Congratulations to Oakwynite Cassandra Frederickson!
Breakout Agent: This title is awarded to the Oakwynite who has grown the most within Oakwyn over 2024. A huge congratulations to Deanna Lawrence for her growth over 2024!
Oakwynite of the Year: Coral Uster was titled the 2024 Oakwynite Of the Year! Coral has shown a complete love for the Real Estate Industry and community within Oakwyn. Helping other partners succeed, and attending every learning opportunity.

The Mix & Mingle session that followed was the perfect way to close out the event, allowing partners to celebrate each other’s achievements, take photos, and collect their well-earned awards.

The holiday season is always a special time of year, but at Oakwyn Realty, it’s an opportunity to truly elevate the meaning of celebration.

The Oakwyn community came together at the stunning D/6 Parq Lounge for an evening filled with glamour, joy, and unforgettable moments.

                            

From the moment guests stepped through the doors, they were transported into a vintage winter wonderland. The decor was nothing short of breathtaking, capturing the beauty of the season with elegant, icy accents and shimmering details.

The 1950s theme was a resounding hit, and Oakwynites embraced the spirit of vintage chic with enthusiasm. Guests arrived in dazzling attire, embodying timeless elegance with sleek suits, glamorous dresses, and sparkling accessories that shimmered under the warm glow

 of vintage lighting—a scene straight out of Mad Men. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as lively conversation, high spirits, and the soft strains of jazz music created an enchanting backdrop. Classic cocktails flowed freely, adding to the sophisticated retro charm of the evening.

The night’s culinary offerings were as impressive as the ambiance. Guests indulged in sushi stations, savouring every bite. For those with a sweet tooth, the treat table was a dream come true. The combination of fine dining and festive cheer set the perfect tone for an extraordinary celebration.

But what’s a holiday party without a little friendly competition? The dance floor came alive as the evening unfolded, culminating in a thrilling dance competition. Jovy Desepeda earned the title of dance champion and the admiration of everyone watching on this eve. Meanwhile, the coveted best-dressed award went to Kim Heizmann, who stunned in an ensemble that perfectly captured the spirit of the occasion!

This past November, Oakwyn Realty teamed up with Body Energy Club to launch a delicious and impactful initiative—the Hazel-Nutty Smoothie! This special collaboration brought together the values of health, community, and giving back in a meaningful way.

On November 1st, Oakwynites were given exclusive early access to preview the Hazel-Nutty Smoothie through the Body Energy Club App. Our team had the chance to try the smoothie before its official launch to the public on November 4th. The excitement for this creamy, nutty delight quickly spread throughout Oakwyn!

Supporting the BC Women’s Health Foundation

As part of the launch, Body Energy Club pledged to donate a portion of sales from the Hazel-Nutty Smoothie during its first two weeks to Oakwyn’s WOO (Women of Oakwyn) choice charity for 2024, the BC Women’s Health Foundation. This initiative not only celebrated wellness but also contributed to a cause close to our hearts.

ELEVATE SUMMIT

On November 4, 2024, the Oakwyn ELEVATE Summit brought together industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and real estate professionals for a full day dedicated to growth, learning, and business elevation. Hosted at the prestigious Vancouver Club, this summit provided attendees with the tools, insights, and strategies needed to elevate every aspect of their business.

Social Media Panel: Harnessing the Power of Digital Presence

The summit kicked off their day with tea, coffee, smiling faces, and of course, the social media panel! Hosted by Morgan Browne, Oakwyn Co-Founder, featured some of the most influential voices in the real estate industry: Steve Saretsky, Jay McInnes, Adam Scalena, and Hasan Juma. These Oakwynites are leaders not only within Oakwyn but also in the broader Vancouver real estate community, setting new benchmarks for success in social media and digital marketing.

Throughout the session, the panelists shared their wealth of knowledge on building an authentic, engaging online presence. They discussed how to use various platforms, such as, Instagram and Facebook to newer channels like TikTok. To not only grow a following but also to create lasting connections with clients. With insights into the latest social media trends, algorithm hacks, and proven content strategies, the panelists provided attendees with a roadmap for navigating the ever-evolving digital landscape. We also hosted a Q&A with the attendees, so they could get the answers to any burning questions!

The discussion also highlighted the importance of authenticity in digital marketing, and how to remain true to your brand while leveraging social media to expand your reach, influence, and business.

Twist & Co. provided expertly crafted drinks, while Flowers on Top added a touch of elegance with beautiful floral arrangements, setting the perfect tone for the celebration.

As the Oakwyn team gathered, excitement filled the air. Guests arrived to enjoy refreshing drinks and delectable snacks, all meticulously arranged by Geffen Catering. Okanagan Wine Retreat: A Celebration of Connection and Growth

This June, Oakwyn brought its community together for an unforgettable weekend of inspiration, connection, and rejuvenation at the Okanagan Wine Retreat. Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Okanagan Valley, this retreat celebrated Oakwyn’s values of growth, collaboration, and excellence in true style.

A Vibrant Start to a Transformative Weekend
The retreat began on Thursday, June 6th, with a morning of growth and learning at the Harvest Golf Club. Attendees enjoyed a delicious breakfast buffet while engaging with insights shared by Arlene Chiang and Shawn Kambo on Oakwyn CARES, followed by a special talk from guest speaker Stephan Cote. The session set the tone for a weekend of inspiration and professional development.

That evening, the community gathered at the stunning CedarCreek Estate Winery for the highly anticipated Okanagan Wine Cantina. With live music, delicious food, and some of the finest wines produced in British Columbia, guests mingled and celebrated in style. The event’s "Lakeside Chic" dress code added an extra touch of elegance to the evening. Guests were seated at a beautiful, elegantly adorned long table, creating an atmosphere of warmth and togetherness as they enjoyed the incredible dining experience.

On Friday, June 7th, the focus shifted to strengthening connections. A breakfast event hosted by Casey Archibald with Xeva Mortgages located at the Oakwyn Realty’s Okanagan office, provided a relaxed setting for colleagues to connect over coffee and pastries.

This retreat wasn’t just about scenic views and excellent wine—it was a testament to Oakwyn Realty’s commitment to building a strong, supportive community. Attendees left with new ideas, deeper bonds, and a renewed passion for their craft.
